This is the first thing that will be scene when we show our trailer. It is our own version of the green american version that is shown before most trailers on Youtube. This helps make our trailer look like a real production and adds to the development to the overall trailer and my coursework

WWW:
ü Your
first key scene shows some promise with a range of shots and some more
proficient editing.
ü It
is good to see you are conducting some independent and innovative additions
to the spreadsheet to develop your research and planning.
ü You
are using a wide range of technologies and are experimenting a bit more with
editing.
ü You
logo ideas are very good and you show practical strengths here.
ü You
are making more progress with your blog than in Autumn 1.
ü You
have started to blog in more detail but need to ensure you do this for all
posts.
|
||||
EBI:
·
You need to ensure you have three separate key
scenes that follow your plan and show an awareness of narrative, genre and
audience.
·
Proof read your blog posts there are a number
of simple SPaG errors/ typos e.g. ‘i’
·
Shot list should be in a table so it is clear
and detailed – edit this blog post.
·
Remember that an external examiner is going to
assess you work – ensure you maintain a formal tone and remove any giggly
video.
·
You need to ensure all aspects of blogged work
are completed to a proficient standard – the things that are limited are in
need of more effort/ completion.
|
||||
Pupil Comment:
I am relatively happy with my feedback so far and think it is a fair
evaluation of my coursework so far; I will be making many amendments to my
coursework to improve my blog and result. I need to describe my posts so that
the examiner will be know what the post is about and re-filming 2 of my key
scenes so that they are more up to standard. I also need to complete a second film analysis.

First attempt a key scene 3
This is our first attempt at key scene 3, we re-filmed this scene as we changed our actor who will playing the character 'Nathan'. Another reason we changed this is because our camera angles and shots in this scene are not very good, and it only shows the scene from one camera angle, there is also some slight background noise. All these things were changed and amended in our new Key Scene 3 that is listed on my blog below this video
Key scenes
This is our new and improved key scene 3 that now features a new actor playing the character of Nathan, we have improved this by including more camera angles and shots including 2 POV shots that I believe really increase the quality of the scene, the fight scene and acting overall is to a much higher standard in this scene as that is something we focused on a lot when filming the scene. We have also included sound effects during the fight scene to make it more realistic

Update on the character 'Scott'
This is the new actor we will have playing the character Scott, our previous actor is no longer able to be a part of our production due to personal reasons, out new actor is able to be part of the production for the full time and will be part of the work for the remaining duration of the course. I've posted this on the blog that it makes sense when looking back at previous character profiles as the previous actor is featured earlier on in my blog on the character profiles. The character has stayed exactly the same however so no other disruption has come to the performance

Research and Planning
For my front cover I made the words fit around the photo of my artist, I did this so you could see the picture but also because it makes the page look more photogenic. By using different fonts I also made the magazine look more eye catching, appealing and more like a real magazine,
looking at existing magazines - by looking at existing magazines I gathered information and ideas that could be used in my magazine, this helped me as i could use all of the existing aspects and conventions to my own benefit whilst slightly changing them so they weren't exactly the same and to also better suit my style of magazine, this was very helpful of this reason but sometimes this was set back as it didn't allow me to create my own ideas and it by looking at a wide range of magazines i also realized that not all the conventions of magazines were suited to all magazines as some worked on different genres better, this meant I couldn't us as many ideas, but in a way this was also good as it let me experiment making them better and more fitting to my style of magazine. In the future I would do this differently as I now know what style I would go for, this has not yet effected my current coursework but it will do when it comes to designing my film posters and other advertisements

Film and Production logo feedback
This is the feedback from both of my logos, I asked 3 people in my target audience that I trusted to give honest feedback on my logos, they all gave me positive feedback on my logos and also mentioned what I could do improve them. The people I interviewed all picked out there favourite logo within the logos I have produced and I took this into consideration when choosing my final logo

Locations
A list of locations we will use to film our scenes that will feature in our trailer.
House - To film Nathan in his own home, to see what he is like when he his by him self and not being watched by bullies. It will mainly be in Nathans room that we will be filming but we will sometimes venture out. This is where Nathan will start his social media terror. It will also be where he is playing his violent video games that give him ideas on how to kill his school bullies
Park - some of the murder scenes will be taking place in the park. We will just be filming the build up to the murder as we don't want to give away any spoilers. The park is a spooky environment witch suits our horror genre very well. If the lighting is right in the park, it will be the perfect location for our murder scenes.
School - The place Nathan will be filmed getting bullied by Scott. This is quite a stereotypical place to film bullying and that is why it is a great place to film it. The audience will expect bullying to take place at a school, the surprise will be how Nathan turns from being a nice young school boy to a serial killer.
Inside Of Car - This is how Nathan gets around. He is seen a lot in his car listening to strange mysterious music.

Production logo feed back
Daniels feedback on the production logos:
- looks professional like an actual production company logo
- logo is clear, not to confusing
- The colours work with each making it look effective, the earth stands out well on the black
- The connection to the Illuminati, found it interesting
- Logo is simple, not too clattered, easy to recognise
Connors feedback on the production logos:
- Thought the logo was too plain
- Not enough colour, so doesn't attract his attention
Film logos
These are our first draft logos, the main image is a computer screen tying in with our film as it is based of cyber terrorizing and also acts as the main body of the image to house the other images, the blood represents the murder aspect of the film and also makes it more eye catching, with just a monitor it would look very boring and unappealing to any audience, the splattered blood will bring more attention to our film and also gives a strong indication that the film will be slasher horror. The name of the film Slashtag also includes a '#' this is because of the name tying in with the media aspects of the film however it can also actually be used on social media like Twitter or Facebook, the actual of hashtag of '#Slashtag' can be used and this will be something we will be doing to promote our film when it comes to advertising it

Improved production company logo ideas
These are my production company logos, they are all similar in there appearance but they all have there own distinct differences. The one I have chosen to go with is the top right hand corner, this because I like how the writing is separate from the actual logo so it can be seen much easier by the audience

Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrells - Car scene
This is a clip from the Film Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, we have reviewed this as it shows as scene of violence, in our film there will be many scenes of violence, these videos allow us to take inspiration from them and use there camera methods in our trailer, this scene is specifically impressive as you see none of the violence actually happen and it leaves it up to the imagination to think what actually happens to the man being beaten by the car door, it shows the mans aggression by focusing on his face the entire time as it is film from an upwards perspective

Pupil Comment:
I’m happy with the marks for now but it clearly shows I can do better,
this will be done by completing the work I haven’t done and by adding more
detail to work I have previously completed.
I feel I can have all of my ticks in the 12-15 marks section with
some in the 16-20 section
